TSI has worldwide exporting experience. We have sold transit buses to the Far East, Canada, Mexico and Latin America. Located in the Los Angeles area, TSI is convenient to both Ontario and Los Angeles International airports. Our locations are freeway close for ease of drive-aways and are also located near two major ports for export shipments.
QUALITY USED TRANSIT BUSES
In the United States, the federal government subsidizes 80% of local cities' purchases of transit buses and requires that cities keep these vehicles for 12-years before being replaced. Even though U.S. transit buses have a reasonable life expectancy of 30+ years, it makes no sense for a city to keep them beyond the mandatory 12-years because the U.S. government will again pay for 80% of the cost for new replacement transit buses. This incentive to continually upgrade bus fleets makes available a large number of 12-18 year-old high quality city transit buses that are in excellent condition.
HAND PICKED INVENTORY
TSI's strict qualifying selection process ensures that our customers receive only the highest quality "hand picked" used buses from the most reputable transit agencies in North America. Only 10% of all U.S. buses make our select inventory.
We now have over 1,000 of these quality used transit buses in our inventory. Our buses are suitable for transportation systems in most markets with left hand drive controls and right hand entry / exit doors. Many of our buses are wheelchair lift equipped and most have air conditioning. |
HIGH CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS
North American urban transit buses are manufactured to extremely high standards including:
• Chassis: Integral UNIBODY chassis ensures strength and long service life
• Heavy-Duty air brake and air-suspension systems
• Rear access: Engine and transmission are frame mounted and fully accessible from the rear of bus
WHAT TSI OFFERS
New, U.S. built transit buses similar to these sell for U.S. $300,000+ each. We can offer used transit buses available for prices of only U.S. $12,000 to $25,000 each, depending on age and equipment (FOB Port of Los Angeles or Long Beach). This cost can vary depending on your needs.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
We offer a full reconditioning service, including custom painting, re-upholstery, replacement of tires and other wear items, up to full mechanical rebuilding. TSI offers new and used replacement parts needed to completely support the buses we sell.
